Thank you to all the children for all their hard work this year and to all of our parents and carers for all of their support.
May we wish you all a most enjoyable summer break and all the very best for P1!
Safety in the Sun
Nursery was delighted to welcome Rebecca Oates from The Cancer Fund for Children when she came to talk to the children about staying safe in the sun, in advance of our Hats and Shades Fundraising day which took place on Friday 3 June 2016.
Thank you to all our parents and carers for their kind donations to this worthy charity.
Diversity Day
The children at Nursery have enjoyed learning more about other cultures and traditions during our Diversity Day!
The children sampled new foods, made Rangoli pots and found out more about our Nursery families who originate from Jordan and Zambia. Sincere thanks to our parents for taking part in this day and taking time to educate the children about their home cultures and traditions.
PE Fun
The children at Nursery are enjoying learning about keeping fit and the importance of exercise through weekly PE sessions at Knockbreda Primary School. Mr McNeill (our Chair of Governors) is taking our weekly sessions and ensuring that our Nursery children keep active and fit! Thank you to Mrs McKenna for kindly lending us her hall!

At Knockbreda Nursery School, the children can enjoy the six areas of the Pre-School curriculum both indoors and outdoors. We have recently had a new delivery of outdoor learning pods and the children are making the very most of our new outdoor learning spaces!
They have been busy making mud pies in the Mud Kitchen, creating fairytale stories in the Woodland, playing in the Small World Area outside and enjoying socialising with their friends whilst eating snack in the outdoor Snack Shack!
Thank you to all the staff for working so hard to set up these inspiring outdoor learning areas!
