In this topic we have ben learning all about Spring and growth! We have enjoyed spring cleaning our home corner and planting different seeds in Forest School. We have found out about the importance of recycling and how we can help at school and home. We have also loved talking about when we were a baby and how much we have grown!
In our Fairytale topic we have had lots of fun retelling different stories and dressing up as our favourite characters! We have also made castles, crowns and magic potions!

A big thank you to all of those who donated to our Book Aid cause. We raised £44.10.
This topic we have enjoyed discovering all about the Lunar New Year and the Celebration of Love. We have shown different ways how we love and look after ourselves, our friends and our learning environment.

At the start of this year we investigated the Cold Lands. We found out about the Arctic and Antarctic and the animals that live there. We became Arctic explorers and investigated ice! ☃❄

What a busy start to November we have had here at Knockbreda Nursery School! We have had a visit form the ‘World of Owls’ where we held some amazing creatures including a ghost snake, bearded dragon and a very famous owl! 🐍🦉🐉The children really enjoyed our first school visitor and were very brave! We then learnt all about different nursery rhymes and took part in the Nursery Rhyme Week, where we learnt a new rhyme each day! Children in Need rounded off our topic and we raised a whopping £210! Thank you all very much for your generous donations .⭐
Today the children at Knockbreda Nursery have had a fun filled day of Halloween fun! Their costumes looked fantastic and there were big smiles all around!

Knockbreda Nursery School has loved welcoming our new Red and Green Apples for the start of their year in our happy school!

Nursery has finished off a wonderful year with a school workshop with Kidz Farm and a visit from the ice-cream van in the glorious sunshine!
What a perfect way to end our pre-school year together.

The children at Knockbreda have been enjoying recreating family picnics and their trips to the beach during our topic ‘At the Beach’! We have been most fortunate that the sun has been shining on most days which has been prefect for our pretend ‘beach days’!
