Parent and Carer Drop In Evening
Knockbreda Nursery School was delighted to welcome the Nursery children, their parents, carers and families for our Drop In Evening on Wednesday 18th October 2017.
This event provided the opportunity for the children to show their families around Nursery, meet their new friends and show their loved ones all their favourite places to play at school!
Thank you to all the families and friends who attended this enjoyable event!
Enrichment Fridays
Thanks to our parents and carers' generous contributions to School Fund, the children at Knockbreda Nursery School are now enjoying fun-filled Enrichment Fridays on a weekly basis.
Each week every child at Nursery has the opportunity to participate in a Music and Movement session in The Hub with Dr Mitchell-Barrett, Friday Forest School in the Sensory Garden with Miss Lewis and a cookery session in the classroom with Mrs Beggs and Mrs O'Leary!
The children are certainly making the very most of these stimulating learning experiences each Friday!
School will open as normal on Wednesday 18 October 2017
Following two days of school closure due to the severe weather, school will re-open as normal at 8.30am on Wednesday 18 October 2017. We will look forward to seeing you all!
Parent/carer drop in evening is scheduled for Wednesday 18th October from 5-6pm and this will take place as planned. We will look forward to welcoming you and your families to this event.
Severe Weather Warning- Tuesday 17 October 2017 School Closed

Severe Weather Warning Monday 16 October 2017- School Closed
Nursery will be closed on Monday 16 October 2017 due to the severe weather warnings and following advice from the Department of Education and NI Executive.
Open Days
Knockbreda Nursery is holding Open Days for September 2018 entry on Saturday 25th November (10.00am - 12noon) and Tuesday 5th December (1.30pm - 2.30pm). We would be delighted to show you around our happy school!
We offer full time places (School hours 8.30am - 1.00pm) and Hub Club extended provision (1.00pm - 3.00pm) for pupils during term time.

Governor Drop In Morning

October Newsletter
As you can see in our October Newsletter here, this will be a busy and exciting month in Nursery! The children are all settling in well and are looking forward to showing you their favourite things at Nursery at our family drop-in session.
Welcome to Nursery!
Knockbreda Nursery School extends a very warm welcome to all our new pupils and parents/carers! We are so delighted to begin this year in our newly refurbished school building and it is just beautiful!

Nursery Celebrations
The Nursery children were delighted to welcome their family and friends to join them for their end of year celebration events! The children performed a number of their favourite songs and rhymes for a very encouraging audience! Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a much needed ice-cream in the glorious sunshine! Well done to the Red and Green Apples!
Transition to P1
The children at Nursery are looking forward to becoming 'big P1s!' in September. In preparation for this change, those children moving to St Bernard's Primary School enjoyed a visit to meet their new P1 teachers!
PE at Knockbreda Primary School
The children have thoroughly enjoyed their PE sessions at Knockbreda Primary School. Nursery is most grateful to Mr McNeill for sharing his love of PE with us! The children have gained new skills and they also had the opportunity to get used to having PE in Knockbreda Primary School's huge assembly hall! All good preparation for the children becoming 'big P1s' in September!

Busy Builders!
The children's learning and knowledge of 'People who Help Us' has been brought to life with the construction work at the Nursery this year! They have been very excited about creating and managing their own busy building site!
Visit from Party Animals
The children's learning of 'All Creatures Great and Small' was brought to life by our visit from the Party Animals mobile micro zoo, what an amazing experience!
Red Nose Day
The children showed off their culinary skills by making delicious buns in support of Red Nose Day.
Teddy Bears' Picnic
The Nursery was full of excitement, as the children headed off on a Teddy Bears' Picnic along with their favourite teddy bear and P1 and P2 children from Knockbreda Primary School and St Bernard's Primary School.
Visit from The Florist
The children loved using their green fingers to create beautiful Mother's Day gifts with the help of the florist.
